I’ve been using the Jack LaLanne Juicer for a few years now. I can’t really say I have many complaints about it. I do wish it were easier to clean! But that’s the price you have to pay for health, I suppose. It’s a lot of work to prepare the veggies and fruits, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay. Considering I’ve lost over 100 pounds (without surgery or pills) and have improved my health dramatically I’d say it’s worth it, wouldn’t you?

Jack LaLanne Power Juicer

This Jack LaLanne Juicer is a real beauty, isn’t it? I think so! I’ve tried a few other brands and have noticed with this one more of the juice is extracted, which results in less pulp. There’s still a lot of pulp but I save that for homemade veggie burgers and muffins so it doesn’t go to waste. (I really do try to stay away from all things processed as often as possible–including veggie burgers, etc.)

I’m a vegetarian so a lot of my meals have come from this beauty. She’s “done me proud!” ;-) I’ve enjoyed everything from morning juices that rejuvenate and waken my sleepy body and soothe and fill my tummy to long juice fasts which have been very healing to my body and mind. I’ve loved getting so much use out of this juicer.

One of my favorite morning juices is raw spinach and carrots. Peel and chop 2 – 4 big carrots and throw in a handful of fresh spinach leaves. You’ll have a tasty drink that will send vitamins rushing through your veins! The carrot juice really does make it sweet and very pleasurable to drink. I would choose this raw, juicy combo over soda or a latté any day!

Have you ever made a raw spinach/carrot juice? Did you enjoy it? Could you feel the nutrients charging through your body, energizing you and feeding your body and mind? Do you have a Jack LaLanne Juicer? Have you used it a lot or is it still in the box or cabinet collecting dust? Let us know in the comments. Speak up… you know you want to! Let’s talk about juice…

Here’s to life, health, and healing with (raw) juices!

I use the Green Star juicer, it uses twin gear technology. I did a lot of research and that seemed to be the best out there for the money I was willing to spend ($500.) It cost me a little over $400 for it. It blasts through everything I toss at it. The pulp is very dry, always a good sign.
The Norwalk juicer is considered the best but at almost $1,000 I’m not willing to spend the money on it. ;-)

Oh, the Norwalk one sounds like what I need as much as I juice fast. I didn’t even spend $500 on mine. The Jack LaLanne Juicer is usually around $99 or less. Mine was actually a gift, though, from someone who saw my dedication to improving my health. It was a real blessing when the delivery truck brought it to my house that day!

I was turned off by how long it took to clean the NorWalk so it wasn’t worth it. My GreenStar is a nice size. I didn’t want something that was too much bigger the Norwalk is huge.

I had a Lalaine jucer when I first started juicing many moons ago.

Oh? Maybe I don’t want the NorWalk then! hehehehe. I’m happy right now with my Jack LaLanne. I might try the GreenStar eventually, though. Sounds pretty nice. ;-)

on my 2nd Jack Lalanne! after my wife’s cancer diagosis, we juiced the hell out it! ( she’s free of any cancer now after 7 yrs. when “they” gave her a 15% survival rate!!) We bought the 2nd generation juicer and find it works like a marvel- more juice, less pulp. highly recommend it.

hmm, it may be time for a better one for us, too. Our LaLanne one always had trouble with beets especially, sometimes carrots…

    I don’t think it’s a 2nd generation juicer…?

@Frank – Welcome to Healing with Juices! I’m so glad you stopped by and decided to share your juicing experiences. Wow, congrats to you and your wife for fighting and beating that cancer! WooHoo! *claps hands* :-) Hmmm…. I don’t have the 2nd Generation. Sounds like I might enjoy it, though! May have to upgrade. :-)

@Steph – You’re up late/early – unless my comment time is off. ;-) Here’s to the 2nd Generation juicer and lots of healthful juices! Hope you’re doing well!
