@Lindsay - Yeah, farmer's markets are awesome! I love finding soaps and food and looking at the aprons and other stuff the folks make and sell.
Oh, have lots of fun picking peaches! Would you believe I never juiced any of these beautiful peaches?! I ate several of them as is and shared the others with some folks. I'll have to get some more and take pictures when I juice them. :-)

Woohoo, I love farmers' markets. You always find such a neat selection of things, and it makes you feel good to support the locals.

I'm going peach picking (we have a u-pick farm area not far from here) with some gals next weekend. I was wondering what I'd do with a huge bag of peaches, so I'm going to have to browse through here and see about juicing some. Sounds yummy. :)

@Bamboo - Farmer's markets are awesome! Yeah, chemicals are expensive and ick! I don't like them at all.

@Melissa - Peaches taste divine! I eat them sliced too but stay away from sugar. I've worked too hard to lose 100+ pounds and I don't want to gain any of it back! ;-)

@Greg - I'll have to come check out your post on local farming. Isn't it wonderful? I adore tomatoes - especially straight from the soil like that! Yum-O!!

I went to a local farmers market just the other day and got to talking with the farmer for a while. He invited me to take a ride to pick a few tomatoes and made some cuttings to plant more of my own. I will be going back to get more info to write a post on local farming.

Mmm, I love peaches! My favorite way to eat them is sliced and sprinkled with brown sugar. Yum! I'm also a huge fan of farmer's markets and organic produce. Whole Foods, here I come!

I too love farmer's markets, and have heard they use less or no pesticides at all, since they grow on such a small scale. Not to mention, chemicals are expensive.
