Hi, Paul! Thanks for stopping by! That is soooooooooooo awesome that you got the Omega 8006. I have wanted a more heavy duty juicer for years but have never found it in my budget to get one. The Jack Lalanne was actually a gift a few years ago when a family member saw my dedication to juicing and sent it to me. You’re most welcome. Hi Michele! I’m new to juicing.. so new I haven’t juiced yet but I did buy my first juicer and came across your website while researching juice recipes and wanted to share some info. I researched different juicer types, read reviews and decided to buy and Omega 8006. I’t a masticating type (as opposed to the centrifugal types that spin a juicing plate). There are definitely some less expensive models but the Omega comes with a 15 year warranty!! Reading about your burnt out juicers confirmed I made the right choice (for me) and thought I’d share… in the long run one heavy duty juicer with at 15 year warranty will likely be less expensive in the long run than replacing juicers with shorter warranties. I don’t know for sure but I think the masticating types use less energy, too since they grind at a slower speed. Anyway, thanks for all the good info and good luck with your Juice fast.
