I hope you enjoyed following my 30-day juice fast! I know I enjoyed the challenge!

So, what’s next for Raw Juice Girl? Exercise. What kind of exercise? Yoga! Yep, I’ve decided to give yoga a try. After years of having folks tell me I should try yoga to strengthen/possibly heal my back, I’ve made up my mind to just go for it. I’ve started with Polly’s Yoga for Newbies video and am just ecstatic!
Rewind.
Last night, I slept so well! I need that rest after the craziness in my life lately. I woke up refreshed and excited to have my “date with Polly”!
The verdict? I LOVED it!!!
The stretching felt sooooooooooooooooo phenomenal and it was such a peaceful, relaxing way to start my day!
I love the Cow and Child’s poses so far, but all of it was fantabulous! The breathing, focusing, relaxing, stretching… Just perfect!
Tomorrow, I’m considering trying Polly’s Yoga for Low Back.
What do you think? Should I continue with the newbie video or switch it up every single day? Do you practice yoga? Who’s your favorite instructor? Why are they your favorite? Do you practice yoga at home, or attend classes at a local studio? Fill me in!

I absolutely love yoga. I’ve been playing with yoga videos etc for gosh a good decade and a half. When I first started “renting” them…YIKES..they were old and very outdated (was embarrassing)
Now it’s everywhere (yeah). I love yoga download podcasts right now. It’s easy and I can yoga anytime/where my Mac can go. But mostly I just stretch and make up my own stuff. (probably not the best policy) I don’t have a regular routine except for after my run and that’s combined with pilates (which I call, yoga-lates) ha
I would do the newbie video at least a few more times… I don’t know how sensitive your back still is…. don’t push it. If you feel good try new things..just listen to your body (and I know you’re good at that)
so happy you are trying it!
( and I am checking out Polly’s vidoes too!)
and ENJOY!

Yay!
Thanks for cheering me on, Cindy!
Oh, I’d love you to drop the links to those podcasts or any other yoga sites, etc., in the comments!
I wonder if maybe I tried a different beginner yoga video by another instructor (just so it’d be maybe some different moves/poses?)… I don’t know. I’ll see what tomorrow’s yoga brings when I wake up and see how I feel.
I’m happy I’m trying it, too!
Actually, I do want to be careful with my back. My goal is to strengthen it–not overdo it.
I know you’ll love Polly’s videos; they’re awesome!

Michele, I’m so glad you’ve turned to yoga. It’s helped me heal in so many ways over the last 13+ years (I started when I was pregnant with my middle child). My favorite instructor is Rodney Yee. Even his voice is calming.
Enjoy your yoga journey!
