Hey, y’all!

Glad you enjoyed my Spiralized Veggie S’ghetti recipe – it was fun to make, and eat!

If you’re new to Healing With (Raw) Juices, or are behind on your blog reading, be sure to catch up on my latest posts:

Caught up yet? Good!

A bunch of you have often let me know you’d love it if I shared more personal stuff – so here it is. ;-)

Since the sun was shining today, I took advantage of the opportunity to get some fun photos of a bunch of the critters here on the farm. All of ‘em aren’t posted below, but I s’pose I’ll just have to do another post like this in the near future (if y’all like it, that is!).

I’ll start out sharing the twin kids who were born March 12th (see ‘em here). We named ‘em “Cookies and Cream” just for fun.

Cream was born first.

Do you have critters? Are you on a farm, or in the city? If you’re on a farm, do you ever dream of being in the city? Or, if you’re in the city, do you ever fantasize about quiet days spent on a porch sipping tea as the breeze blows? What’s your favorite animal? Do you own it? What animal would you get if you don’t have one and could get one? Did you enjoy your sneak peek of the Amish farm? Would you like to see more? And for those of you who have been waiting and waiting for the Amish farm homesteading blog, so sorry about the wait. Life kind of got in the way and there’s too much on our plate right now to crank that blog up and get it going – but we’ve taken LOTS of photos and video and we WILL get that blog rollin’ in the future. :-D

    I wanna goat!!!!!

We lived in the country, and I hated it. Just not for me. I’m a suburban girl and have to live close to a major city, but I love to get away to the country every once in a while!

    Thanks for the pics!

    *big hugs*

    Hey, Tiff!!!

    Aw!! Goats are sweet. ;-)

I understand! I could NEVER be happy in a city – we’re all different! Sometimes I get tired of mud and critter “doo” but I couldn’t live any other way! LOL

You’re most welcome. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post!!

    Big hugs,
    Michele

Ahhhhh I love this post! Cookie & Cream are so so so so so so so adorable, I love chickens (they remind me of amazing travels), and daffodils warm my heart!

I’m in the city and I have three cats that kind of rule my house. I love the noise and rush of the city and could never leave *for good* but I also love the peaceful nature of beiing in the country or in the woods.

Cookie and Cream are just the sweetest EVER. You’d love cuddling with ‘em!!! :-D

Daffodils are awesomeness, too – so bright and cheerful!

Aw! Kitties! Cats are awesome. I have a fat cat (James) – I forgot to include a pic of him! I’ll have to add him to the next critter post I do. ;-)

At least you get some good doses of peaceful nature when you can!

    Big hugs,
    Michele

I’m definitely a city girl, but I LOVE to be outside, and I love animals. I think my allergies get in the way of me being around animals more often :(

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Congrats on the weight loss. I do think scales have their place. When trying to loose a large amount of weight, a scale can be a good friend. Once you are trying to maintain weight, however, it can be your worst nightmare, and lead to obsession. I’m glad you now have a good relationship with your scale!

I love animals and they warm my heart so much. I know you are vegetarian but I do worry that the animals might not be owned by someone who is. Will they be safe from consumption? It would make me happy to know if they were.

    Aw! Thanks, Bitt! :-D

These animals aren’t going to be eaten. The chickens won’t be eaten, but they do provide eggs. I don’t eat eggs all the time (on occasion, I do) but the rest of my family eats eggs more often. But really, eggs would just lay there and rot a lot of the time if someone didn’t eat them – because they don’t always end up being sat on and hatched….

And these critters are just pets. :-)

    Hope that helps?

    Big hugs,
    Michele

PHEW! I am so empathetic to animals I get all protective. I wasn’t sure if these were your family’s animals or not. Even so, not all family’s agree.

I know it is possible to have humane eggs. I worked on a bird sanctuary where we had to feed the eggs back to the birds because all the humans were vegan!

Wish I had access to a 100% bone-a-fied humane egg (not just BS free-range that you see in the stores) source. My cats would love it and it could replace a bit of their fish intake.

    Raw Juice Girl Reply:

Yes, all these critters belong to us. And there are a few more as well. We don’t eat ‘em – just love ‘em. ;-)

Our eggs are not only free-range, but organic and all the chickens are VERY well cared for and loved – and even snuggled when they let us catch up. LOL :-D

So you don’t have to worry, sweet Bitt.

    Big hugs to you!!
