Disclaimer: The generous folks at the Aurorae Yoga company were kind enough to send me a beautiful, luxurious yoga mat from their collection to review. They also sent their Sport Sweat Towel and their Yoga Slip Free Rosin Bag. However, I was not paid to write this review – or even asked to write one.

Thank you, Aurorae!

Hi, y’all! Gosh, gardening has been keeping me busy—that’s why I haven’t been blogging. (Read about it here and here.) Yikes! And things are really moving along. I have to post updated photos of how much everything is growing and how the garden has changed!

Oh, and I’m totally addicted to Rainbow Grass. Yum-O!!! ;-)

Also, I hope you had a special and very Happy Mother’s Day!

Okay, okay, on to the review….

Remember when I shared with you that Aurorae sent me this amazing yoga package?

And in pink—my favorite color!!!!!

About the Sport Sweat Towel

I was pleasantly surprised at how soft this towel is—it’s really nice! And I mean, it’s super soft and comfy.

Here’s what Aurorae has to say about their latest product:

“This is the latest product from Aurorae to help our customers enjoy and maximize their yoga practice. Our new Yoga Sport Sweat Towel, with embroidery, will keep you dry and help prevent you from slipping on your mat. It is 100% Natural Cotton Terry, the best natural fiber to absorb perspiration and keep you dry during your practice. It is just the right dimensions -16"x23" – to keep you dry while practical enough to easily fold into your yoga bag. This towel works incredibly well with our Aurorae Slip Free Rosin Bag. Sold separately. Machine washable and hemmed on all sides for long lasting quality you expect from Aurorae.”

I had a friend take this photo…

in the same fashion as the one on Aurorae’s site—pretty neat, huh?!

Pros

Living on an Amish farm doesn’t allow for much luxury, so this soft towel is more than a piece of cloth to wipe sweat when I’m practicing yoga – it’s a special, luxurious treat! Yoga in itself is a treat – but it’s even better to practice with such inspiring, high-quality yoga equipment.

Product Features (from the site):

  • Absorbs perspiration while you sweat and keeps you dry
  • 100% Natural Cotton Soft Terry, machine washable
  • Dimensions are 16”x23” and light-weight, easily folds into your yoga bag
  • Works incredibly well with our Yoga Slip Free Rosin Bag to keep you from slipping on your mat
  • Aurorae embroidery – Our symbol of great quality and service

And at just $8.95, the Aurorae Yoga Sweat towel is easy on your bank account, too! Woo hoo!

Cons

The honest-to-goodness ONLY con I can consider is that you haven’t bought one of these already – seriously!!

Verdict/Grade?

A+ all the way! I’m impressed with the company, the man behind it, the attention to detail and quality, and can absolutely feel confident in using – and recommending! – this fantabulous product. Plus, if you sweat – like we sometimes do during an hour of yoga! – you’ll love being able to reach for this soft and handy sweat towel. And it’s much better than wiping your face on your sleeve! ;-)

Do you use a yoga sport towel? Is it Aurorae? Have you considered using a sweat towel during your yoga sessions? And did you click through to read my Aurorae Yoga Mat Review? What did you think? What did you think about Dennis Ingui, the man who owns Aurorae? Pretty amazing, huh?! I’m in Yoga Heaven—I’m serious, y’all!!!! :-D

I have a black Aurorae mat and I love it but I guess I do slip from time to time .. I’m a really inexperienced yoga practitioner so at first I didn’t see the point of the towel but now I do, and I’m prob gonna go for Aurorae again, because, well, I love it.

I remember us talking about that before, Ilana – your black mat. :-D

Awesome thought for sure (seeing the point of the towel). ;-)

By the way, in response to your comment on my blog about how you’d feel lost in the big city – well, it’s totally how I feel when I go out to the country! I’m totally freaked out by the darkness and the silence and the CRICKETS! I love the beauty of nature but I’m so used to the noise I get scared and can’t sleep, so I’m totally amazed by you, living on an Amish farm (which, if I haven’t mentioned before, I’ll mention now, I think is just about the coolest thing EVER).

That is really cool, Ilana — that you’re so at peace in the city! The silence and the crickets (plus frogs, birds, etc.) are soothing to me. There’s nothing like listening to a whippoorwill on a beautiful night or drifting off to sleep as an owl hoots. ;-)

And, thank you. I’m honored that you think it’s the coolest thing “EVER” — it doesn’t always feel that way, but I know I’m truly blessed. :-D

    Hugs,

First of all, your site is really cool, so full of information and great tips. I do love starting my day with hot lemon water. I agree that it’s a great way to kick things off right.

I would love this yoga mat. I think I’m pretty decent in the field of yoga and I think it may be time to invest a little more in my mat. Thanks for the great review!

    Hi, Ameena.

Wow. Thank you so much for the compliment! I’m honored that you love my site. :-D

And, yes, the hot lemon water totally makes a difference in my day – I can always, always tell when I skip it.

Aurorae is just an awesome company. Love ‘em! Glad you think they’re great, too.

Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed my review! :-D

    Healthy hugs,

I do use a yoga towel. Have to. Buh-lieve me! I was slip, sliding away during class. Not a pretty sight.

I don’t sweat nearly as much as I used to when I began practicing (over 100+ pounds ago!), but still, I’m a sweater. I’ve been using Yogitoes™ from the start. Wasn’t familiar with Aurorae prior to your review, so thanks!

    Hi, Earth Mother!

I’m a sweater, too. Like you, I don’t sweat as much as I did when I was over 100 pounds heavier but I didn’t practice yoga then either. I did, however, walk on the treadmill and I was drenched! LOL

And I love this little towel.

I have been intrigued with Yogitoes™ but have never tried ‘em. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Glad I was able to introduce you to Aurorae – I think they’re awesome! :-D

    Healthy hugs,
    Michele

    Hi Michele,
It’s hard to blog when you’ve got a garden to tend to and sunshine calling! Looks like a great product. I need to start practicing yoga more often! :) Have a great weekend. Looking forward to gardening pics ;)

    Hey, Leslie!

Yes, life does tend to get in the way of blogging, doesn’t it?! LOL ;-)

I also need to practice yoga more often. I haven’t been faithful every day because there’s so much outside work to do – shame on me! Nah, I know I can only do so much but yoga really does calm and ground me. I have to make it a priority. My favorite time to practice is in the morning. It’s one of the BEST ways to start my day! :-D

    Hugs,
    Michele

Thanks, I was enjoying the nice gardening weather – I’ve had rain the past few days. But the plants need it, I know….
