Hi, y’all!

How are you? Fantabulous, I hope! :-)

I’m so excited that you’re lovin’ my most recent recipes:

And if you’re a regular reader, you might remember a while back when I posted my Spiralized Veggie S’ghetti Recipe.

In that post, I mentioned I had spiralized my dessert as well: an apple, which I topped with a yummy sauce I threw together at the last minute.

You may have never thought of spiralizing your dessert but there’s a first time for everything, right?!

On to the juicy details…

Spiralized Apple Pasta with Nutty Sauce

apple with sauce

This was a very fun dessert. It’s delicious, nutritious, fun to eat – and very easy to whip up! :-D

Recipe follows, but as for the process….

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves…

Spiralized Apple Pasta with Nutty Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 apple, washed
  • peanut butter (or your nut butter of choice) – I’m a crunchy kind of gal. ;-)
  • drizzle of honey (or other sweetener)
  • splash of almond milk (or your milk of choice)
  • cinnamon (and/or any other spice of your choice)

Directions:

  1. Spiralize your apple.
  2. Combine nut butter, sweetener, milk, and cinnamon (you choose the amounts, depending on your taste preferences).
  3. Stir until mixed well.
  4. You can heat your mixture or serve as-is.
  5. Plop it on top of your spiralized apple – and enjoy!

Note:

I tend to like things on the thicker side (oatmeal, smoothies, etc.) so I made my “apple sauce” thick. But I can totally see a runny version of this nutty sauce being yumilious, too!

Your Turn

1. Do you love nut butter smeared on apples or other fruit?

2. Have you ever spiralized an apple? Or anything at all?

3. Would you like to own a spiral vegetable slicer? If so, be watching for my review – plus a giveaway!

Yeah, I hope – and pray! – you get a dehydrator soon. I know you’ll enjoy it so much!!

And, yes, you’d love a spiralizer too.

*fingers crossed for both of ‘em* ;-)

Glad you like this recipe. Hope your men gobble it up and ask for more!!

    I love ginger, too. Yum!

    1. My favorite nut butter is almond butter and I love it on a banana. I’ve tried apple too, but banana is my got to every time.

    2. I have never spiralized an apple before, but after viewing your post, I’ll be giving it a try. :)

    3. I have the little mini thingy..and it is okay.

    Take care! :)

    Hey, Evelyn!

    Thank you!

Oh, I love almond butter – but it’s usually SO expensive in my area…

Yay for giving a spiralized apple a try. It’s SO fun to make and eat! :-D

I’ve never used one of the smaller spiralizers. I can totally see it being cool to have, though, as you could travel with it much easier and make smaller noodles (I hear).

    You take care, too! :-D

    Hugs,
    Michele

    1. Every once in awhile I like to dip an apple in almond butter. Yummy! Have to be careful not to get carried away. :)

    2. Have spiralized squash many a times for mock pasta and lasagna dishes.

    3. I own one so it would be great for someone else to possibly win.

Can’t wait ’till I have my own squash in the garden this year. The crazy weather has been causing problems for my gardening efforts! ;-)

    Mmmm good!
I don’t have a spiralizer but I’m thinking that sauce would be a good dip for a sliced apple too! And easily transportable to work! Thanks for the idea!!

I’ll be looking forward to the review!!

    Hi, Berni!

Oh, I checked sp@m and everything and didn’t see your other comment. So sorry about that! Sometimes comments just get eaten up by cyber monsters – it happens to me, too! LOL ;-)

Thanks so much for coming back to comment again, though!

Yes, this sauce would make a delish dip for a sliced apple – or pear or banana or even dates! :-D

It’d also be good on (healthy versions! ;-) ) of ice cream!!

Thanks! I’m going to get it posted soon.

    Hugs,
    Michele

Yes please :) This look oh so yummy and delicious. I wonder if I could use my spiralizer (it makes more thinly sliced noodles) and get the same effect. Im trying this asap

    Yay!

I don’t know. Do you have that round spiralizer? It would probably work.. and even if the noodles were thinner, it’d still be fun to eat and tasty, I’m sure! :-D
