Hi, y’all!
How’ve ya been?
I know some of you may already do this but I thought I’d share one of my tips with you: freezing bananas.
Bananas are yummy – but they don’t last long! If you don’t gobble ‘em up quickly, they will get all dark and mushy. Lots of folks from the old days (and I’m sure these days, too!) consider those old, blackened bananas the best-ever for baking old-fashioned banana bread or muffins.
Some of you may throw those old bananas away.
I try to eat or freeze my bananas before they get in bad shape – ‘cause I hate to waste food!
It’s easy and doesn’t take long to freeze your bananas for future use.
Just slice or break into chunks.
Lay flat, not touching, in bags or containers.
Store in the freezer ’till ya need ‘em!
This way, you’ll have pretty bananas when you need ‘em for smoothies or some other goodness. They’re also great to just nibble on as-is!
Have you ever frozen your bananas? Do you eat them too fast? Do they ruin on you? Will you be taking advantage of this tip? Do tell!
And…
Don’t forget to enter my SWEET GIVEAWAY!!!!

Seeing this reminds me of a treat I had years ago at a festival when I was younger. It was a frozen banana dipped in chocolate. Okay… Not very healthy, but it’s what came to mind when I saw this. It could be done with dark chocolate, I guess
Thanks for sharing this great tip!

gosh you are too neat.
if I bother to chop them I just huck em in a bag and pick them apart later.
but anymore I just stack them in a freezer bag whole and freeze.
we buy a lot of bananas and I just keep adding the ripe ones for baking or summer (which means any combo of banana soft serve)
oddly we didn’t go hog wild this year with it so I had better get to baking this fall!
